We are in big trouble. The quality of first team player has fallen considerably in my opinion. We have lost Bogden, McNulty, Bartley, Milligan, Ambrose and Omeonga and none have been adequately replaced. Only Allan has shown to be of the quality promised by the board although we have still to see Hallberg and Naismith in Hibs colours. I know we have been plagued by injuries since the beginning of the season but because of the general lack of confidence in the entire team l do not see much hope in the immediate future.

Rumoured on Twitter that Mulumba ex Killie may be coming to Hibs. Would be good if true but seemingly original source "agent kevin" is unreliable.

zafira

1.) 16 Jul 2018 10:40:44
Seen that rumour myself zafira but the source is highly suspect as you rightly stated. There would be no complaints from this Hibee is the move materialised Mulamba gave Kilmarnock an added dimension to their play last season and would be an excellent acquisition. Quality player and if Kilmarnock could agree a financial loan deal with West Brom for the boy then it wouldn't bankrupt the powers at be at Easter Road. Given the fact he's now got SPFL experience this would be a real coup if true but unfortunately can't see it coming to fruition. Fingers crossed though!

Strange thing for Neil Lennon to suggest that he might quit Hibs in the summer when at his interview immediately after the Hearts match he was praising the team for their achievements throughout the season. I can only assume that he has been promised a lower budget for finishing 4th rather than 2nd and perhaps feels that it will be impossible to replace the players who are leaving with new players of the same or better standard. The board are going to have to support the manager and match his ambition if they want to keep him. Losing Lennon would be a disaster for Hibs.

He was in a meeting with Leanne yesterday, and I've heard he's getting the money he wants and will get more for each match they win in Europe should they get in, and today he is in bed with flu .

Celtic are believed to have made a move for Scott Bain as back up goalkeeper but Hibs would have to agree to cancel loan agreement with Dundee.

zafira

1.) 30 Jan 2018 21:36:06
I seen that, why would Hibs allow Bain to go when Marciano is so inconsistant?

2.) 31 Jan 2018 11:39:28
Rumour the Scott Allan deal would be permanent and Simon Murray could go to Dundee. It's getting busy!

Disappointed to see Celtic manager playing mind games before Saturdays match with Hibs by suggesting that S F A should approach Lennon for Scotland job. These are the tactics frequently employed by Rangers (remember Scott Allan saga) . Unfortunately these tactics often work by upsetting fans and players alike.

Lennon ruled himself out within a week of Strachan getting emptied.
Rodgers was likely just being honest and paying him a similar compliment to the one he gave him after the first league game.

If people are so easily unsettled by one person's complimentary comments spun by the press they probably shouldn't be watching sports news channels or reading the rags.

That said it's no secret things haven't been rosy in the dressingroom for a while with Stokes and Efe taking the mick at training.
I'd still bet Lennon is smart enough not to consider it at all though, regardless of speculation.

2.) 26 Jan 2018 17:27:47
I noticed big McGregor given Efe it tight duting the derby, I would give him the captaincy and tell him to get a grip of the two of them and get them sorted, can't see Stokes getting lippy with him.

3.) 26 Jan 2018 18:20:22
Hopefully no nd to as stokes won’t play again by all accounts, thank god! Said it from the very start far to expensive a player for what he gives back especially as the years roll on, can name games on one hand since he came he’s bn a stick out, flicks here and there? A great football brain? Natural ability? Give me a break! He’s a waster on and off the park! Selfish to the core, i counldnt care about him throwing a decent living away but don’t be taking hibs with you!

4.) 26 Jan 2018 19:50:37
Lennon said the other day he was flattered but he's happy at hibs .

5.) 26 Jan 2018 23:31:16
Tomo think you and I said before he signed we didn’t want him, all my thoughts regarding stokes has come true, however I was genuinely hoping that Lennon would get the best of him baring in mind he hadn’t managed him at hibs. There’s got to be better options in the UK for a striker rather than going foreign, even Ireland surely there’s great up and coming players although most of these clubs have an affiliation with English teams. The bottom line is Lennon hasn’t got it right regarding signings, yes Ambrose has been decent, keeper sometimes when he feels like it. Murray possibly. Sorry I’m in the doom and gloom camp, having said that we’re fourth and 2 or 3 sightings we’ll be right up there with Aberdeen. We really need to start hitting the net. By the way Lennon has a good number at hibs, he’s going nowhere.

Does anyone think that Hibs might be able to hold on to their best players and the loans as if they finish second and qualify for Europe. The extra £500000 could increase wages considerably and playing in Europe with Lennon at the helm would enhance experience. Surely that is more attractive than playing for the likes of Blackburn Rivers which is the team which Dylan has supposedly had an offer from.

Leanne Dempster being touted for vacant chief executive post at S. F. A. I really hope she doesn't go. She's irreplaceable at Hibs.

Cummings scores for Rangers against Ross County after three minutes on pitch. Oh how we miss him.

Is it not a bit worrying seeing our players performing so well and getting recognition for it. Hanlon and McGinnis are in latest Scotland pool and are both subject to transfer speculation. McGeoch, McGregor, Bartley and Boyle regularly receive rave notices from press and media. How soon before they too are subject to transfer speculation followed by the almost inevitable actual transfer. Can it be prevented?

Nobody talking about hertz players? Would rather have them talking, shows were doing things rite, players will always come and go at Easter Rd, just got to sell for the rite price and recruit properly.

Very much doubt it, mate. Causes too much trouble in dressing room and bad influence on younger players.

Don't you think that if McGinn goes to Celtic then a deal may be struck where Allan moves to Hibs in part exchange.

From what Neil Lennon has said about him l don't think he's going to send the heather on fire but he would appear to have some qualities which the current forwards lack. Let's hope that one of them is that he can head goals from corner kicks.

You guys have got to look at the bigger picture. Lennon is without doubt one of the best managers in Scotland. That's why he's being touted for the Scotland job. To be in fourth position so soon after promotion is fantastic. While it's true we are the fourth best supported team after Celtic, Rangers and Hearts, these three teams plus Aberdeen all pay higher average wages than us. Once we become established in the Premiership and get the rewards from finishing high up and possibly qualifying for Europe then we can compete on a more level footing but not quite at the moment.

If Rangers are prepared to offer more than a twelve month contract then Hibs must do likewise. McGeoch has not been injured for weeks despite some heavy tackling and is far to good a player to give away on a free transfer especially to Rangers. McGinnis is probably going. To lose our two best midfielders at the same time is tantamount to disaster.

Hibee Bob, l agree more or less with everything you've said. When Hecky first arrived l had every confidence in him but l couldn't get my head round what he meant by feeding the players information and getting the right information into them. What was that all about? Was he trying to get the players to adapt to a new system rather than playing to a system which utilised the best of the players individual abilities.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. We currently have two of the best strikers in the league at present and fans should be applauding them rather thancomplaining about them. Encouraging the team creates confidence in the players and helps them to try more difficult options. Look how badly Rangers are playfing since the fans got on the players backs. Aberdeen were the same last year when their fans booed them a lot.

Cummings is a youngster and still has lots to learn. Criticising the players like you are doing is not going to help their confidence.give them a chance and try to encourage them rather than criticise them. The team has been performing very well recently. Thank goodness Stubbs doesn't think like you or we would be in a real mess. He has managed to install confidence in the players by encouraging them not criticising them.

So many fans like you mate are never satisfied. Cummings is leading the top scorers list and Malonga is not far behind despite being away playing for Congo. How can you be so critical. Maybe if Hibs had more loyal fans who supported the players in the way that Hearts fans do then the team would be even better although I fail to see how any knowledgeable fan can criticise any aspect of the team the way they are playing atpresent.

Think you are talking a load of rubbish mate. Everyone who knows anything about football thinks he is,the best player in the championship. Supporters have got to quit maintaining and get behind the players.
