The media are largely responsible for stirring things up although they always deny it. They say they are just reporting what's going on and doing their job. But they ARE actually stirring it up and whipping up the fans into the type of frenzie we saw with the Sevco fans at ER on Sat. Chanting Scott Allens name etc. The fans wouldn't have been doing that if the media hadn't been bigging up the interest from Sevco in the first place!

Players agents get their money by moving there clients on as fast as possible even if they have got a contract which they regard as a piece of bog roll.
If Scott Allan's agent had done his job correctly he would have inserted a clause with a trigger amount stipulated instead of a so called "verbal agreement" which is open to interpretation on both sides.
It appears that HFC are correctly holding out and the agent & his west of Scotland press cohorts are trying their hardest to manufacture a move westwards.

We released the informetion on the bids to make everyone aware that your lot can't afford to buy SA and that your trying to steal him by unsettling the player. I don't care if he sits in the stand for the rest of the season, what's important is that we don't accept your bully boy tactics , that we stand firm and no matter what happens we don't sell him to you lot, who obviously don't know how to conduct yourselves in a fit and proper manner.

Big L - I can understand the frustration of Hibs fans. However whether the first bid was acceptable or not (never has been in my experience of buying anything), it WAS done the correct way - it WAS done via both boardrooms as I understand and therefore WAS done through the proper channels. Rangers did not release this to the press and neither did they release the follow up bid. If anybody upset the player or the Hubs team you really need to be looking closer to home.
I also look forward to the bigger team (LOL)bidding 250k for another championship player before the window closes.

More like done between rangers and the media etc that rag the daily record

It was the fact the first and second "offers" were so ridiculous that prompted Hibs , quite rightly, revealing them. It is ridiculous to think that ANY team would sell the Championship player of the year, for peanuts, even then the peanuts were to be paid on the never-never. As for the west coast biased media, - Hibs as a Club, Stubbs as a manager have both stated HE IS NOT FOR SALE on numerous occassions but this appears to be ignored and every day there is more pressure exerted by the media fairy stories. Hibs have done nothing wrong in this sorry saga. Time to move on. Allan will be a rangers player, but NOT THIS SEASON, suck it up chaps.

Bil72. Auld Yin said it all !! By the way you lot have got some front saying your a big team! Youv'e got no history, no money, stacks of debt, your fan base is dwindling and the only cups you have ever won was league 2 & 1. 3rd in the championship! Big team ma erse!!

Sure Big L. Maybe you don't read your own or your mates posts it you &they who question who is th'big team, not me.
By the way what was the going rate for the Championship Player of the Year in previous seasons
Only asking??

27 Jul 2015 18:50:49
Now't to do wi it, if you want to buy a player of compeititor and in doing so stregthen your team and weaken theirs then you pay the asking price, we have not quoted a price because he is not for sale!! But that won't stop sevco, they have no class and no sporting integrity.

12.) 27 Jul 2015
27 Jul 2015 20:04:46
Totally agree Big L - hibs do not need to sell him to that mob!! Sevco trying to con their fans that they are still a big club. , with fans so gullible they fall for every conmans lies who comes through the door it's not wonder!!

funny thing about this thread is that all the hibs fans are slating rangers however we are in this league due to financial mis-management of our CLUB therefore we were DEMOTED. your lot are in this league because your football TEAM is crap and you got RELEGATED. have a quick think about how great your own club is before spouting off how rubbish other teams are.

{Ed007's Note - You werent demoted, you were reformed and allowed to join the lowest tier in the SPFL, let's keep to the facts here - there was no demotion, relegation or any other stupid excuse you've thought up in the last couple of years. If you were demoted why did it need votes to see what league you would play in, why did you need a conditional membership to play Berwick in your first official game and why didn't you take up the European place you qualified for in your final season in the SPL?}

28 Jul 2015 14:18:06
Git in there Ed!! By the way, if we've got a crap team what does that make your lot ? You finished behind us last year!! what's just as important is that we are a club that believes in sporting integrity and we conduct our business properly, which is more than can be said for sevco!

15.) 28 Jul 2015
28 Jul 2015 14:43:20
good grief - the 'sporting integrity' card has been played.
that'll be that then!!

16.) 28 Jul 2015

Ed07 - I appreciate you get little perturbed by this, but Rewriting history doesn't make it correct - We were not reformed we were taken over by a different company hence why all footballing associations still acknowledge that we are still Rangers Football club & why we get to keep all honours won since 1872
It needed votes to see what league we were in because of the Financial loss which would follow (lost gate receipts.tv money etc) It wasn't RFC who argued against being put in the bottom league. I don't think we were even allowed to vote or put a case forward.
Conditional membership was due to the legal handover from one company to another. It was accepted by the 'authorities that it would happen therefore the game was sanctioned.
& we never took up the European place because the company that took over the Football team did not have the required Accounts history.
We also ever took the prize money from that season, and we never got the full share of the tv money that followed.
We also cleared every clubs debt from 3rd Div up, by filling up their grounds at least twice per season. They got more income from 1 game than a full season in some cases!!
No doubt this will illicit a rant or 2, but hey ho!
Onward & upward

{Ed007's Note - On 15th June 2012, did your "Rangers FC" belong to SFA, SPL or SFL? Yes or no?}

Bil even taking into account that you are a supporter of the RIPgers u are talking pure rubbish - Rangers went bust!! This is nothing like a takeover or as your wee pal says demoted due to a wee a bit of "financial mismanagement"
