I have to wonder where we get the funds to sign anyone with the crowds we are getting, Saturdays was piss poor!! Less than 6,000, if you want out of this league then you have to support the club. Their would have been more than double at Tynecastle yesterday. The club are trying to show their commitment! we as a support need to show ours. Don't come on here moaning about the quality of players if your not going to put your dosh up to help the club!!

I totally agree!! What do the club need to do to get the supporters back, I have been looking fwd to going back to see the Hibees all summer and expecting the crowds back as well but result aside the Rangers turnout was very disappointing. , even worse on saturday

We have shown our commitment for many years and they just take advantage of us. Hibs have wasted so much money with sacking managers who clued up fans knew were not good enough from day one and same with players wages we knew were useless.
A game like Montrose should be £10. They need to encourage people to come by offering reasonable prices. I'm sure £10 could have gained 10,000 at the game as we haven't been that cheap in a while.
League wise, the prices are shocking. What we see on a saturday is nowhere near worth the money. Once again Germany prices need to be mentioned. They are proof that you don't need to con the fans with prices.
We get relegated for NO reason and they have the cheek to charge dear prices still! Thank god for student, kids and OAP prices or nobody would be turning up.

MrAware I cannot disagree with anything you are saying, in fact I would say you are totally correct. I felt the exact same way when we got relegated but it does appear they are now finally heading in the right direction. It's early days yet but I am actually looking fwd to seeing the team play again instead of going along every week cause it's what iv always done - get along and see the change for yourself I think you will be surprised (not directed at MrAware - directed to all the lost hibees lol)

not cheap , remember the only players we kept were the ones on poor contracts, I think stubbs is doing the best he can but still think were getting option b players as we can't afford option a his first picks, I don't think rod and tom are being ambitious at all still remember Rooney w to Aberdeen for something stupid like £50 a week diff?
as for admission me and boy £20 fair enough we had a whole row 2 pies and a snack 3 drinks there's another £15 petrol £5 soon mounts up that's why under 6000
we should look at doing our own catering to make some money,maybe a farmer autocare under one of the empty stands
and a vault for his millions in another

For Mr unaware and all the rest of the negative fans that are under the impression TF is going to put his hand in his pocket, that will not happen!! The only way we bring in better quality players is for the true Hibs fans to go to the games in numbers and support our team. I'm not interested in what has gone on in the past, I'm not interested in the opinion of all the critical moaners that come on here and other sites who never go to the games. No Hibs director ever sacked a manager who was doing well!! I didn't hear any objections when we brought in the last 3 managers. We are where we are, so stop your moaning and get along and support YOUR TEAM that's the only way we get back to where we were!!

Well said big l sick hearing negative comments and feedback from people who won't put there hands in there pockets to buy a ticket or season ticket it's the only way to keep our players and Stubbs get behind the team 6000 a week is shocking but if we were in a cup final next week there would be around 25000 so called hubby's where are they on a Saturday when the team needs them

wasn't moaning just saying to bring Kids from outside Edinburgh it is expensive and if tf was to invest in better quality on the park he would get it back through the gate and with results. we pay a lot more than the likes of Falkirk and qOS ans st Mirren to watch only marginally better players, even this is still to be proven,
I don't think there to fussed about being in the championship as I don't think they're investing enough in a threadbare squad to get out it which will struggle to get going if they ain't all fit,the last time we were relegated we brought in Latapy , Sauzee etc that was a statement of intent which I only see from sevco so far ?

JC If I remember correctly the Latapy Sauzee era left us £16 Mill in debt and wehad to sell the crown jewels Brown, Thomson, Whittaker etc to clear it! The economics are simple, if you don't have the cash you can't spend it! The yams had over 16,000 at their game on Sun. Which basically means they can pay double the wages we pay, which means they will get better players. Don't think this board will speculate, the last chairman that did that was Hart when he brought Best in. The only way to get back where we belong is by providing cash thru ticket salesand that means going to the games!

It really isn`t down to the fans. Really you need to stop giving the fans who stayed away on Saturday a hard time.
Do you really think, if you really stop and think, hard, that if we were getting 20,000 crowds each week that we`d be any better?
Petrie giving the manager, whoever he has in charge this week a million pounds. No chance. Should have backed Collins and the history might have been different.

Also stop comparing us to Hearts. I don`t care what they do and how many they`re getting. Hibs have a fan base, it`s there. If their support was so much bigger they`d have a 50,000 sized stadium but they don`t. Our grounds are evenly sized. How we have ended up where we are is nothing short of a disgrace and you`re blaming the fans for not turning up for a game against Montrose. Shame on you.

Firstly, as I keep explaining on this. Stating the truth is not bring negative. If we are in a bad situation then what am i supposed to say? We have 4th biggest fan base yet could be in 2nd tier for 3 years in a row. If we are, what will you say? The predictable "oh well, always next year GGTTH" type of cringeworthy comment.
I didn't mention Farmer and you seem to not understand our money situation over the years at all. You also wouldn't acknowledge my mention of German ticket prices which prove everyone wrong on season tickets being eorth it here.
You mention true Hibs fans but true Hibs fans actually feel anger and pain but you don't seem to. If you can go to games and fail every season without getting angry then i have to question why you actually go to games. Win, lose or draw you still enjoy it? :/

Where were you when we appointed Stubbs and Fenlon for you not to hear people complaining about the appointments? They were everywhere! I 100% knew from day 1 that Fenlon would be useless and i was right. It didn't stop people like you complaining about my realistic views on his appointment.
The facts are that, since the turn of the century, Butcher was the only appointment that was actually doing well in a Hibs level league when getting the job, ironically he was manager when we went down though.
Every other manager was either doing badly, hadn't managed, in a youth league or in too low a standard a league when appointed. They all did badly except Mowbray who was extreme luck.

You go every year and we haven't been where we should be since Mowbray left, so please explain that one?

I don't pay to much attention to the crap you come out with, I don't think many people on this site do! For your info I'm as pissed off as every other Hibs fan about the relegation, I was at Hamilton home and away, were you? I still say, the crowd was piss poor on Sat and against r--gers in the cup and if we don't get the fans back we could miss out on going up again! Their is nothing to be gained by being a perpetual whinger like you! We need to look forward. Hibs team is starting to look as good as it was in the Mowbray days, and no matter what anyone says, the only way to get back to where we were is to turn out in numbers.

Petrie: I know exactly where we are and I know exactly how we got here and no one is/was more pissed off than me when we went down. I certainly don't live in a fantasy world. I was at Hamilton game and I was one of the last men standing at the mini protest when you were probably already away to the pub saying "GGTTH HIBS FOR CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY".
I said how we can get the fans back but you ignored my suggestion of the most obvious solution. £10 for Montrose? Plenty more would have turned up and it would've showed they actually want fans to get value for monrey.
Did you know you can buy a BPL season ticket for less than a Hibs season ticket!
If you don't acknowledge problems then you can't solve them. If we acted oblivious like you then we could end up even lower down.
Can't even start to compare it to Mowbray's until we are in SPL and in top 4. Getting hammered by one of Rangers weakest if not weakest side of all time 6-2 makes your comment embarrassing.

The gate receipts for the Montrose game would have been £80K approx. That level of income doesn't cut it, never mind enable us to invest in the team. Your idea is to reduce the prices and hope more people turn up because it worked in Germany, if it's that good, why are all the 1000's of other teams thru world football doing just that? Go check out the prices around the world. British prices are way dearer than most countries! It can be argued why EPL charges more but no reason at all for Scotland. You need to actually do your research before you make yourself look silly on these pages.

I believe you can watch german football for as little as £15 ( the price Hibs charged on Sat) and a match ticket can be as much as £60. But that's not the whole picture, in 2013 German football did a TV deal for approx €700.PA. With that kind of money they could let their fans in for NOWT!!! I will continue to give my opinion and if people like you continue with your negative sniping I will respond.

Bil Hibs have stated on numerous occasions that they are happy for SA to stay and leave in the summer rather than sell him to Sevco, this has nothing to do with what the player or the players agent wants - I don't know why this is so hard for the knuckle draggers to understand?
Are they a bigger club - they at least have more than 5 years history and can afford a transfer fee
