Played well today & bossed Gers @ times. Good chances but chances don't win you games or leagues & we can't afford 3rd season in championship. Cummings works hard but he doesn't finish as many as he should. We miss a striker in mould of Brewster/Mixu. Alagui is injured all the time & what's latest with Keatings? Need a Sauzee @ the back & a Mixu @ front.

Couldn't agree more, we need someone up front who is capable of winning the ball in the air and of holding onto it until the midfield catches up, I don't think any of top two did this today. I'm sure AS knows this and with his contacts there must be someone out there who can do a job for us.
I hope this week's training will include shooting practice as the amount of misplaced shots has got to be improved upon.
Finally the defence really played well today only beaten by a goal that no goalie would ever get near to.

Stubbs can have all the contacts in the world, you still need to pay them to come, which Petrie isn`t going to do.

Don't know how much truth is in this, I heard that Algui will not feature much this season! That leaves us with 3 strikers, need to get someone, I wonder if J Daley would do a turn!

I`m sure he could and would but we won`t be signing him.

6 points behind already might not be the end of the world but as the gentleman above rightly says we need a striker and I can`t see Stubbs bringing anymore in.


Which leads to my question how long does Stubbs get?

Even a poor Hibs squad could managed to finish forth, surely?

If we find ourseleves way behind at Christmas do we bin him or hope he gets us in to the play offs?

Either way, like it or not if we fail to go up, Mr. Stubbs will have had his time. I hope it won`t come to that as there is still time, we could go on a run of games unbeaten?

You feel that Rangers could go the season unbeaten so as long as we make the play offs I feel that who ever we play we should go up. I think any of the teams in our league could give the likes of Kilmarnock, Partick, etc a game.

How do you know who Stubbs is signing? He was asked at the w/e and he said "mebbes aye, mebbes naw" ! I will say I was surprised at the line up on Sun, I expected us to b a bit more defensive, so did sevco, I thought Bartley would have been a cert to start.

I think he`s putting a lot of faith in Cummings and Boyle and Keatings when he gets fit that`s the reason for me saying he won`t bring another striker in. IMO

Anyway Jon Daley, we couldn`t afford him, that`s why I said we won`t be signing him. Unless you know something?


I don`t see him bringing another midfielder in or goalkeeper.

Maybe, maybe he might bring in a defender, if we`re lucky.

The longer he leaves it the more of a panic buy it becomes.

We should be having a clear out of Malonga, El Alagui and then maybe we can get a better striker.

What the hell happen to Alex Harris? The boy was being talked up and we would sell him for millions. He gets injured and now he`s at QoS?

Darren McGregor just released by sevco! I think Stubbs has to bring in a striker, no point in creating all these chances and not having anyone to put them away!

it would stop him going for it ,doubt is all u need that's why 60% of players keech their pants if u stand firm or take a step towards them soz Oxley would have saved both if he stood up ,was ready and used both hands instead of trying to make Hollywood camera saves and missing most of the time poor concentration = bad goalkeeper

Jc27, I'm not saying he is a good keeper, I'm just saying that a man on the post would not have made a difference to the goal, even with a man on the post Oxley would still have done the same. I don't think many goalkeepers would have stopped it, it was just about perfect. I don't think it was a free kick in the first place ( McGeoch had turned away from the ball and it hit him ) but give some credit, it was a fabulous strike.
