Whatever happened to Tom Hateley, who did he sign for?

Hudds Hibby

{Ed007's Note - Nobody, he's still a free agent.}

1.) 04 Sep 2016 10:25:05
If he hasn't made up his mind by now then he isn't the player we need. We need 100% commitment.

2.) 04 Sep 2016 16:45:53
Agreed. But it's all about the money! He'll be hanging on for a better deal else where. I can understand the thinking. Especially seeing as it's a short career. Career wise though, Lennon would get the best out of him. We'd get him cheap for a couple of years and promotion. Everyone would be happy!

Sky Sports reporting that Celtic are definitely interested in signing SA.

Not like that shower of vultures

2.) 13 Aug 2015 13:45:12
Heard last night he will be away by end of month by reliable source but wouldn't say to who
but not rangers

3.) 13 Aug 2015 13:47:16
its actually us enquiring about mcgeoch,,,allan isn't going anywhere,,,,that boy will only sign for sevco.

4.) 13 Aug 2015 21:14:31
They said money plus players. So McGeouch and? Would it be too cheeky to ask for Callum McGregor or Stokes on loan?

Dundee United after Scott Allan before window closes : (

Sorry to keep posting but also hear we could be getting Fraser Fyvie on loan till end of the season. If so that's a good bit of business.

{Ed007's Note - Post away mate, it's what the site is for. Fyvie is a free so it won't be a loan but Hibs are definitely keen on signing him, I expect it to be announced any minute.}

17 Jan 2015 09:48:44
Anymore business to be done in this transfer window?

Hudds Hibby

1.) 17 Jan 2015 13:01:02
Jesus I hope so but I am disappointed it has all gone quiet. The window started off well. I just hope it is AS going through his careful back ground checking and not an indication that there is to be no further signings.

2.) 17 Jan 2015 17:22:32
There will be at least 2-3 signings

Well, we're second class citizens when it comes to Nike, strip is dreadful yet again.

Typical refereeing in Glasgow, no way that was a free kick, Mcgeoch turned his back on the ball, couldn't possibly have been deliberate :(

Hudds Hibby

1.) 23 Aug 2015 16:37:37
Agreed. We played well though. Just need to get that clinical finish

26 Jul 2015 10:27:56
IF there was an agreement to allow SA to join a bigger club if they came in for him (as is being reported) provided they meet our value, we need to let him go :( don't want to see him go but if that is what we agreed when he signed it's only correct to do so. I guess only those at the initial signing agreement will know!!

Hudds Hibby

1.) 26 Jul 2015 13:41:45
Don`t believe everything you read. Why let the truth get in the way of a good story. "It`s only correct to do so" PMSL.

2.) 26 Jul 2015 14:06:36
That's why the "IF" at the start of the post is in capitals.
IF they have an agreement to let him go IF a bigger club comes in, then, IF they meet our valuation, it is only correct to do so.
Bad crack to go back on agreements IF they exist.
Suggest reading post correctly.

3.) 26 Jul 2015 14:43:04
Players like Benteke had a fee in his case £32,500,000 which if met triggered a transfer, SA has supposedly got an agreement that if a bigger club comes in he can go, but not at a fee determined by him, his agent or the buying club. Hibs are quite within their rights to refuse unless their opinion of the players value is met so SA and his agent are trying it on!

{Ed007's Note - Who has final judgement on what a 'bigger club' is?}

4.) 26 Jul 2015 14:51:25
Lenny 0 7

Read the post, I clearly say "IF they meet our valuation"
"IF" is an agreement, Hibs should honour it.

Ed

I've been a Hibs supporter for almost 50 years and I would be hard pushed to argue that Rangers aren't a bigger club than Hibs. I don't like it but it is the reality.

{Ed007's Note - Like I said, that's only your opinion.}

5.) 26 Jul 2015 15:33:06
Put a case forward Ed

{Ed007's Note - They're 3 years old, are in dire financial difficulties and don't even own their own badges and trademarks, were Gretna a bigger club than Hibs?}

6.) 26 Jul 2015 16:18:06
Not sure of the question about Gretna? Hibs were always a bigger club than Gretna, what is your point?

{Ed007's Note - Gretna played their way through the divisions like the newly formed version of Rangers are doing and their story was broadcast all over the world.}

7.) 26 Jul 2015 17:18:19
Ed, don't get all shook up pal, no one's actually disagreeing with you, however, the emphasis isn't on "If a bigger club comes in" it's if they agree to pay our estimation of his value!

{Ed007's Note - But what defines the 'bigger club'? Who decides if the club is big enough, Scott Allan? His agent? What if the other club see themselves as a 'big club' but nobody else does? Personally I think it's garbage when you see some of the rubbish in player's contracts why it wouldn't be included in SA's perhaps because defining any club as a 'big club' is only a matter of opinion, the agreement would need to be more specific. This whole verbal agreement sounds more like the newspapers are helping out by making it look like Hibs are keeping SA at ER against his will.}

8.) 26 Jul 2015 17:50:26
I don't disagree with your comments about contracts and press involvement but IF there was an agreement, Hibs should honour it. simple.

9.) 26 Jul 2015 18:04:46
Your bang on sir! Who is a "bigger club"

13 Jan 2015 19:38:13
What has happened to this site? Their used to be a lot of rumours (particularly leading into the transfer window and during it), lots of banter and lots of comment but is now a shadow of what it used to be, lucky if there is a couple of posts each day now.

Hudds Hibby

{Ed001's Note - probably because there is nothing to moan about! For some reason all sites do better when the team it belongs to is having a bad run. People seem to enjoy moaning more than anything else.}

1.) I made a post Ed, but it was not featured!

{Ed001's Note - there is one held for the Hibs editor we have, but he hasn't been about to pick it up yet, that might be it.}

Only upset about the style of football because we have gone backwards, we actually played good football last season under Stubbs. We have the best midfield in the league by far and yet we continue to miss them out by hitting long balls. Last year we played through the midfield and looked like a very good side.

I agree, the football has gone backwards from last year. We play way too many long hopeful balls up to Graham or Holt and rely on trying to win the second ball, not good to watch.

Jc27, I'm not saying he is a good keeper, I'm just saying that a man on the post would not have made a difference to the goal, even with a man on the post Oxley would still have done the same. I don't think many goalkeepers would have stopped it, it was just about perfect. I don't think it was a free kick in the first place ( McGeoch had turned away from the ball and it hit him ) but give some credit, it was a fabulous strike.

As per Shez1875, Rangers are a far better team this year than last year. I don't think we "fear" them but we respect them as a team capable of being champions, just as we are.

You might still be following it but unlike SA it is very unlikely that you will achieve it. SA still has a realistic chance of achieving his dream, whether It is this season or next.
Sorry, just faces the facts
