In reply to the person who texted to say LG is the best player he has or will ever see in a hibs shirt, he's either having a laugh or very young, LG could not & will never lace the boots of sauzee, John Collins, pat Stanton, Des bremner, latapy, etc etc

Your forgetting the famous five or the legendary (and my favourite) Joe Baker
who scored a hat trick in his 1st game against Hearts at the age of 17.
Joe's career was fantastic (check it on wiki) and was almost included in the final England squad that won the world cup despite his strong Scottish accent.
Then all the greatt players that played for Turnbull. Stevenson, Duncan, Gordon, Edwards and Stanton and their exploits against TOP european teams.
LG good but well down the list of Hibs great players.

Sorry but he didn't play for long at hibs but George best was world class is is by far the best player to grace the er turf

The myth of George Best at Hibs!
When he came to Hibs he had been around a lot of Clubs and well past his best (no pun intended!).
He certainly had the occasional flashes of brilliance but Hibs were still relegated that season.
By that time his drinking was legendary
and remember him missing a cup-tie against Ayr Utd. as he was still in the bar from the night before despite a 3. 00 k. o. - crowd of about 17000 that day.
It wasn't the genius of Best in his Man. Utd. days and his performances for Hibs put him down the list of best player at ER.

Oh yeh totally agree but in terms of best player to play for hibs regarding his whole career he is up there

No is the answer.

Not going to have an arugement over this as it`s all about opinions but you can`t compare the players you list with Griffiths as they`re all different types.
It`s like saying Kompany is a better player than Messi you can`t do it so why compare Pat Stanton with Leigh Griffiths?

Griffiths for me has everything and has a left foot that only Gareth Bale can match. (before you start I`m not saying he`s better than Gareth Bale) After the cup final disaster we should have invested and built a team around him.

I`m surprised by your hostility to me or is towards Leigh Griffiths? {Ed017's Note - it would be boring if everyone thought the same buddy.

I don't think there was any hostility towards you, it's just that over the years Hibs have had a lot of players (centre forwards) far better than Leigh Griffiths. As one of the other posters suggested I would guess you are reasonably young.

Lg was amazing for us but so many other hibs players in the hibs jersey I've seen better. than him and when scottish football had better players.

Darren jackson was my favourite ever hibs player, a just liked the way he played, we got the best yrs of his career at easter rd. northd hibee
