We are close to signing defender Tom James from Yeovil and looking at forward Christian Doidge from Forest Green possibly paying 250k for him. Looks like mcnulty might not becoming back sadly.

Along with everyone else I’ve been pleased with Heckingbottom since his arrival but this was always the danger once the transfer window opened. He was always going to look at the market he knows best which is the lower English divisions and rightly so it’s his job on the line. Unfortunately and I’m sure I’m in the majority when I say these type of unknown quantities do little to excite and leave a sense of underwhelment.

Scott Allan was always going to be the marquee signing but I’d hoped to be at least linked if not signed more higher calibre and proven players than we have done at this point. My fear is we’ll get a couple of panic loans in on the final day as we’ve refused to pay the going rate for talent.

Your having a laugh mate the players he’s targeted are lower league but should be above the quality their in I think he’s making a great choice of player x.

We were looking at Doidge last year, so been on radar for a while.

McGeouch still keen on returning. latterly he did stay fairly fit with us. and I like the idea of him and Scot Allan

(curiously the injury prone Barker wants another loan spell in Scotland. think City might sell him as he is in last year of contract. but not many takers with his hamstring/ muscle record)

Don't think so - McGeoch has activated a clause that gives him the option of an additional year at Sunderland so that doesn't indicate a willingness to return to Hibs.
Might be a possible loan signing as Sunderland not that keen on him but very unlikely.
Really liked him as a player at ER but when is the last time he has played more than half a season at ANY club?
