Aberdeen apparently offered £250K for Stevie May, Preston asked them for £400K. For long enough I've thought he would be a very good signing for us but not at that money and not based on what he has achieved since going down south. Injuries apart, His form and goal scoring has been shocking! I wouldn't pay that kind of cash, to big a risk.

He would still be worth £1m+ if he wasn't injury prone.

I still believe he would've got himself going in 2nd season with Shef Wed if he hadn't started getting injuries.

If he stayed fit, he would definitely score 1/ 2 average in SPL.

I remember when we signed James Collins for £200k and i rightfully said what a waste of money and we could've got much better players for free at the time! I got abuse on here but peoplw went quiet when they realised i was right haha.

Injuries indeed have played a big part in this young mans career aged 24 out injured for year and half, However he's played a total of 180 games scored 84 most of them in spl
2 games in Europe 2 goals to suggest this is shocking beggars belief!

I would jump at the chance to get the old Stevie May to Hibs and I'm aware of his record. Since going south he he has scored 8 in 51 games he has been back playing since Jan and I would not have been against him joining for a few months on loan with a view to a permanent deal. I just feel at £400K it could be a bit of a risk. I don't think it will make much difference, as it stands it looks like he wants to go to Aberdeen!

£400,000 is peanuts imo.

I suppose that would depend on how much money you have to spend! If our record on transfer fees is anything to go by, £400K would be twice as much as the last time we shelled out cash for a player, Collins, which was a long time ago. I do hope that changes and we spend some cash very soon but I'm not holding my breath!
