Hope hibs take the money for Cummings

I'm not a great lover of Cummings however I hope he stays I mean we couldn't buy a player that scores as many goals. Any team in any league would love a striker scoring 20 odd goals a season and he's done it the last 2 years. What do you want another Gary oconner who scores 8-10 a season but that's ok because he's a supposedly a hibby. As I say I'm not a great fan but he's scoring as many goals as Derick riordan

I'd take a million all day and night. He's a young player with plenty potential but I still don't think he's great. He scored a few goals but I reckon with the amount of chances he's had he should have scored a whole bunch more. I think we need experience upfront. the question is though who? Any thoughts?

I don't think we need any more young players, in my opinion we need a leader and some proven experience in our young talented squad

I don't know what you mean he should score a whole bunch more, if he was to score another 10 he would be worth millions if he done it on a consistent basis. I'm sorry I just done agree. As I said in my original comment I'm not a huge fan but that's more about his attitude rather than ability. Be careful what you wish for, players that score 20 plus a season are worth their weight in gold. Apart from riordan & sparky when did Hibs have a player that banged in as many on a regular basis, you would need to go back 10 years plus. Tony Mowbray made a massive mistake at Celtic by getting rid of Scott McDonald a proven goal scorer

I can see what your saying and your opinion is valid but how was Celtic in the wrong to let McDonald go? They still won the league after and it made no difference to there teams success. They've had much better since.

I just think if Keatings had as much playing time as Cummings he would have scored more goals. he's not my type of player but it's just an opinion. In my mind he's got a horrible touch he's lazy and missed at least 70% of clear cut chances. Fletchers the best striker we've had in recent history(opinion) but he didn't score loads of goals. (Could argue Leigh but he was never really our player unfortunately)

Celtic were poor under Mowbray he got rid of their best players and ultimately paid with his job. How can you honestly say fletcher is the best striker we've had, yes he's made a great career for himself but strikers are judged by the amount of goals they put in the net period.

Ask most Hibs fans at the time & most would say get rid of fletcher. Stick the ball on his left leg he was class, anywhere else he was hopeless. If Cummings stays and scores another 20 his value will double. Plus keetings might be a better football player but a better striker he ain't.

Cummings is better than Fletcher?!! Your at the windup mate. Hink you forget we were in the premier league and not the championship at that point. Tbh I don't know what your thinking. Next you'll be telling me Scott MacDonalds better than hooper.

Don't get me wrong tho I won't be disappointed if Cummings is still a Hibs player next season. Best case scenario he stays and we find a good all round striker to play along side him and bring him on a bit.

If were offered good money tho we'd be aswell taking it

I never once said cummimings is better than fletcher however in the short time Cummings has been at Hibs he's scored far more goals. I'm only speaking in facts. When fletcher was at Hibs I couldn't care a damm whether he stayed or went. Please read the stats and tell me how many goals fletcher scored for Hibs. I'll tell you incase you don't know 43 goals in 156 appearances hardly prolific. Cummings has scored more in his very short Hibs career. Anyway getting back to the original point the only thing all of us want is a striker that scores regular & that I'm sure you won't disagree with & at this very moment Cummings is doing exactly that. Iv seen better players come & go from Easter road over the last 30 years however I could count on my one hand the strikers that do it regular.
