We`re so behind everybody that it will take a magician to get us out of the league.
If we appoint Venus it will not only be a Petrie appointment it will be the cheap option and a truely bad move as it will be a huge step backwards.

I don't think that Venus is the man to take Hibs forward but to make the general statement "number 2's don't make good managers" is daft. There are plenty who have made the transition and done well.

Russell slade, ex Sheff utd assistant and current manager of leyton orient has been approached 4 hibs job, source. Russell himself, know him personally from my time living in Scarborough when he was there manager in early 2000s. northumberland hibee

All the above names weren't number 2's for over 10 years, if they are manager material they move up in no time, big difference IMO
